Velvet is a type of woven fabric in which the cut threads are evenly distributed and that can be obtained from any natural or artificial fiber. Velvet is a costy production fabric as a result it always has been associated to nobility. Velvet luxurious clothings were used by kings and high classes as a distinctive sign. Although velvet origins are in some antique oriental cultures, it came to us through medieval italian traders.
